D&A has conducted hundreds of impact assessments since inception, ranging from scoped site-specific to watershed-scale studies. Assessing impacts to wetlands, woodlands, valleylands, Environmentally Significant Areas (ESAs), and other significant natural features is one of the core services we offer.  Impacts to natural heritage and terrestrial resources are typically evaluated according to established provincial and municipal, or other assessment protocols established for the given project. D&A’s approach to these studies typically involves supplementing background information with site investigations conducted by skilled field staff, providing analysis and recommendations based on current standards and practices in the ecological sciences, and using GIS tools to provide a comprehensive and defensible report.
